Overview

The Senior Enterprise Application Developer serves as a Technical SME and supports all company activities including but not limited to system implementations, integrations, and process consultations. This role provides hands-on support for the best utilization and integration of the NetSuite ERP Application to maximize the diverse operational needs of the Finance function and investments in Financial Applications. This role will also represent a senior role in the team and so there will be responsibility for participating in and leading operational optimization initiatives to ensure increased agility in responding to the requirements of the business.

  • To ensure effective and impactful support of a business-critical application.
  • To work with key business users to provide effective resolution of issues and to proactively identify enhancement opportunities for the Netsuite application in the context of key strategic drivers at Finastra.
  • To continuously endeavor to drive operational excellence and optimization by participating in and leading key initiatives identified by the app owners to success.
  • To work with integration teams where applicable to ensure smooth operation and integration with other in-house applications.
  • To provide thought leadership on Support operation optimization and application improvement.

Responsibilities

  • The role provides L2 and L3 support to ERP.
  • Work with end users for undertaking any key change requests/enhancements as approved as per guidelines.
  • Administer NetSuite ERP & maintenance of master data, user access controls, etc,
  • Techno Functional role in all modules of NetSuite ERP (Technical 60% & Functional 40%)
  • Responsible for interaction with NetSuite ERP application vendor in case of application malfunctions and changing the application configuration, managing upgrades / new releases.
  • Works with End Users to review the change requests/enhancement requests, performs technical feasibility study, recommends tech solution and implement approved enhancements, works with end users on UAT, moves into production, adhering to IS policies of change management.
  • Leads the changes to NetSuite applications as projects/enhancements / implement new features and are usually related to analysis, development, testing, UAT, and deployment to production based on business requirements. Enhancements include workflow/process changes, scripting, etc.,
  • Build, develop, and test detailed scripted customized solutions and prototypes.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during configuration sessions.
  • Provide ongoing post-implementation support to optimize user adoption and NetSuite configuration.
  • Specialists are accustomed to working in production-sensitive environments where one fault or failure can cause business loss and downtime affecting multiple departments. The team members should be available on call and be able to work sometime during weekends and month ends.
  • Team members carry out necessary knowledge sharing for the smooth functioning of the team.

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • 3-5 years of in-depth technical and functional knowledge of the Netsuite Oracle application with associated experience in technical development and enhancement of the same.
  • Strong Accounting & Finance domain knowledge and expertise to underpin a strong functional understanding of the Netsuite Application.
  • Experience in assessing and communicating insights and analysis of support metrics to Senior Management team members.
  • Strong track record in self-management demonstrating ability to prioritize based on overall guidance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
