Primary Objective: Finastra is looking for a successful, seasoned Sales Executive to build book of business within our North American Payments segment. The ideal candidate will need to plan and prioritize sales activities with a goal of creating new opportunities. This position will be the first point of contact for potential Finastra Payments customers.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to create new sales opportunities.
- Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of a client's business, identifying challenges and opportunities as well as how to position solutions to address those needs.
- Proven ability to understand and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated deep product and industry knowledge including market trends and competitive intelligence.
- Proven record of building and managing a sales pipeline. Maintaining prospects targeted for 6 months and beyond, maintain qualified prospects for 3 to 6 month while managing the closing process for current quarter.
- Proven record of matching customers' needs with solution.
Experience Required:
- 7-10 years of experience in outside sales representing enterprise software, SaaS or FinTech solutions. Knowledge of the banking vertical is preferred.
- History of establishing best practices around proven sales methodologies (Miller Heiman, Huthwaite, Challenger Sale)
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer success through active sales management, creating the opportunity to generate additional business.
- Create sales opportunities for new customers. Take ownership from prospect, to qualify to close.
- Maintain detailed and evolving 30/60/90 day plan
- Maintain appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management.
- Proactively build relationships with all accounts, expanding the sphere of influence within account base.
- Use a consultative sales approach to develop account plans and identify specific needs for each bank.
- Become a trusted advisor and operate as the primary point of contact for Finastra within assigned book of business.
- Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally.
- Meticulous use of Salesforce CRM for opportunity management and reporting
- Responsive, reliable and results oriented.
- Travel is required.
