What will you contribute?
As a Market Intelligence Specialist, you will play a key role in understanding the banking software market globally. Part of Finastra's Market Intelligence Team, you will help collect market intelligence across all lines of banking business (retail and corporate banking, lending, payments, capital markets and investment management) in order to inform our strategy.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your core responsibilities as a Market Intelligence Specialist will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Strategy Support:
- Produce actionable research on disruptive technology trends, market opportunities, and competitor landscape in financial technology
- Conduct customer interview and feedback projects to validate roadmap and investment decisions
- Answer the questions about Fintech no one else can answer - and become an industry expert

Competitive Intelligence:
- Collect and analyse information on Finastra's established and upcoming competitors in the global market
- Produce competitive battle cards to support Finastra's Global Sales organisation
- Help internal stakeholders understand and benchmark competition against Finastra software solutions, determine key strengths and weaknesses, and develop impactful market positioning
- Monitor banking software industry trends and competitive insights
Win/Loss Analysis:
- Monitor closed opportunities and follow up with opportunity owners to produce reports on trends and strengths and weaknesses of Finastra and our competitors
You will report into the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Market Intelligence.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in market research, business intelligence or strategy consulting
- Analytical mindset: consume large amounts of information, pay attention to details, focus on the most important, verify conflicting statements, make small decisions quickly, build comprehensive stories from small pieces, develop strategic implications
- Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient: work under no micro-management, driving own agenda and consistently delivering high-quality results in an exciting, fast-paced environment
- Confident virtual communications to be able to navigate conversations on technology with senior banking executives across the globe
- Some understanding of or experience in the financial services industry or software industry would be highly beneficial
- Strong presentation skills in order to present your research and be efficient in a multi-national and multi-cultural organisation
