What will you contribute?

  • In our Student Lending Operations Team, you will assist 1.5 million Canadian borrowers throughout their loan cycle.
  • As a key liaison with national Trustees and Clients, your attention to detail and excellent communication skills are crucial
  • You will receive training to support borrowers in various ways within your role.

Responsibilities & Deliverables: Bankruptcy/Credit Adjustment Officer

  • Bankruptcy Operations Management: • Oversee daily operations related to bankruptcy events, including understanding insolvencies, performing voting, applying restrictions, identifying approvals for Section 178 of the BIA, and creating Proofs of Claim
  • Compliance and Process Adherence: Ensure compliance with guidelines set by Clients/Finastra, and follow relevant policies and processes for consistent and controlled work execution
  • Communication and Discrepancy Resolution: Communicate with 3rd parties and clients to resolve discrepancies, collect information, and accurately determine the correct course of action based on incoming communications.

Required Experience:

  • Communication and Listening Skills: This includes effective business communication skills, both written and verbal, and active listening skills. Maintaining calm, professionalism, and empathy in difficult circumstances is crucial.
  • Organizational and Analytical Skills: Excellent in organization, analysis, prioritization, and problem-solving with a structured task approach.
  • Service Delivery and Process Improvement: Ensures deliverables are met, improves processes, and thrives in a metrics-driven structured environment
  • Technical Proficiency and Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Suite and experienced in application processing and delinquency management
