Vice President, Thought Leadership - Workplace Investments & Income

Overview
As Vice President of Thought Leadership for Workplace Investments & Income, you will lead a high-impact team dedicated to shaping the future of workplace retirement plans. Your mission is to help clients make informed, forward-looking decisions about investment options that drive meaningful outcomes for their business and their participants. You will serve as a strategic voice for Fidelity, delivering insights that influence internal stakeholders, clients, and the broader industry.

This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in workplace investing, a passion for storytelling through data, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across Fidelity's Workplace, Institutional, and Asset Management organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Insight & Influence: Work with business partners to develop and articulate Fidelity's perspective on workplace investment trends, retirement income strategies, and plan design innovation.
  • Thought Leadership Development: Create compelling, data-driven content that resonates with clients, prospects, and industry influencers. Ensure alignment with business priorities and client needs.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Leverage Fidelity's proprietary datasets and market research to uncover insights and build narratives that drive engagement and impact.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of thought leaders. Set strategic direction, manage priorities, and foster collaboration across marketing, product, sales, and relationship management teams.
  • External Engagement: Support client-facing teams in delivering insights to clients, and represent Fidelity externally through client engagements, industry events, media appearances, and strategic partnerships, as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the investment industry, with a strong focus on workplace investing (recordkeeper, asset manager, plan sponsor, advisor, or consultant).
  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing thought leadership strategies that support business growth.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence and collaborate across diverse teams. Editorial experience would be beneficial
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working with large datasets and performance metrics.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Familiarity with Fidelity's platforms (Fidelity.com, NetBenefits, PSW) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.

Team & Collaboration

You'll be part of the Workplace Research & Thought Leadership team within Fidelity's Workplace Inclusion, Insights, and Marketing organization. You'll work closely with partners across Fidelity Workplace, Institutional, and Asset Management, including product, sales, and relationship management teams.
