The Role
As a Vice President, Strategic Tech Consultant, you will join Fidelity Institutional's (FI) Consulting team and play a leadership role in delivering insights to our largest and most sophisticated clients and prospects with a focus on all technology aspects of running a wealth management business - technology strategy planning, operations, emerging trends, digital transformation, as well as expertise as it relates to infrastructure and risk management. This role will contribute to our success by developing relationships across client leadership and with other industry centers of influence. You will represent our offering as an ambassador in the industry - best practices, insights, and resources. The role requires a standout colleague who can engage with our largest firms and executive audiences, ultimately providing an outstanding experience to our clients and business partners.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor Degree Required
- 15+ years of technology experience within the financial services industry
- Series 7 & 63 required or obtained within 90 days
- Outstanding senior leadership communication and ability to influence c-suite level
- Proven analytical, strategic-thinking, and critical problem-solving skills
- Experience in working with clients to develop an enterprise technology strategy
- Passionate technology advocate with proven track record of being an innovative technology thought leader
- Strong drive and ability to take initiative
- Ability to travel 50%
- Consistent record of navigating and influencing executive level business leaders, both internal and client facing across multiple functions and businesses.
- Demonstrated success in consulting with executive leadership at intermediary clients and driving action from recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of the strategic roadmap by providing key inputs based on observations in the areas of competition, prospect/client needs, and market evolution
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships across multiple client constituencies including marketing, relationship management, technology, product and CE.
- Outstanding collaborative and team skills, contributing to the team's collective knowledge and success
- Skilled in establishing relationships with peers and executives in a variety of capacities
- Working with the largest RIA and Broker Dealer clients to drive their economic contribution to Fidelity; including providing leadership & support for competitive asset opportunities
- Acting as a leader and subject matter authority, directly engaging to help clients achieve their goals
- Identifying Fidelity solutions that meet clients and prospective clients' needs
- Partnering with Relationship Management and Sales, as well as internal business partners to identify key considerations and solutions that move clients toward achieving their goals
- Maintaining extensive knowledge of Fidelity's products and solutions and the FI platform, as well as our competitive position within the marketplace
- Building and delivering clear, concise and insightful presentations to wealth management firms' C-suites and Fidelity senior management teams

The consulting team works closely with the sales and relationship management teams, technology groups, as well as internal business partners within FI. Our organization allows you to use your technology expertise and have a tremendous impact on clients and on the FI organization. We are a highly collaborative, close-knit group which thrives off providing solutions that meet our clients' sophisticated requirements.
The base salary range for this position is $123,000-$207,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
