Job Description:
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic individual who blends Portfolio Management expertise with team and execution planning responsibilities. This role is pivotal in supporting strategic technology initiatives while ensuring cross-functional alignment and organizational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional program management skills, and be a trusted advisor to senior leadership. You will oversee a portfolio of high-impact programs, optimize executive decision-making, and enhance operational workflows across the organization. Additionally, you will communicate and collaborate closely with Product Owners and Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and other Stakeholders to ensure dependencies are managed, impediments are removed or escalated and there is visibility into the work being done and how the program is performing.

Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Management
- Lead a portfolio of strategic technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Define program roadmaps, KPIs, and success metrics in collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams.
- Drive cross-functional execution, removing roadblocks and ensuring accountability.
- Monitor risks, dependencies, and resource allocation, providing transparent reporting to stakeholders.
2. Planning and Execution
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Stock Plan Services Technology, managing priorities, communications, and operational cadence.
- Prepare executive briefings, board materials, and leadership presentations.
- Facilitate leadership meetings, ensuring follow-through on team decisions and action items.
- Identify and drive operational improvements, streamlining processes across teams.
- Act as a liaison between leadership and departments, fostering collaboration and alignment.
3. Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects (10%)
- Lead ad-hoc strategic projects (e.g. organizational redesign, innovation pilots).
- Utilize market/competitive research to inform leadership decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 7+ years in program management, portfolio management, or strategy, with 2+ years within a Chief of Staff or similar executive supporting role.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software development, cloud infrastructure, data systems, or related domains.
- Leadership: Proven ability to rapidly build trust, influence stakeholders at all levels, and navigate ambiguity.
- Communication: Exceptional written/verbal skills; adept at synthesizing complex topics for executives.
- Execution: Track record of delivering large-scale programs on time and within scope.
- Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and BI/reporting tools.
- Bonus: MBA or advanced degree in technology/business; PMP, Scrum, or related certifications.
The Team
You will work in a matrixed model through partnership with other technology and product leaders (Domain Leaders) aligned to Stock Plan Services.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$219,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
