Vice President, Architecture - Lead Architect for API Ecosystem Simplification Program

This role is responsible for driving the strategic direction and implementation of the API Ecosystem Simplification program. This leader will partner across teams to ensure alignment and drive consistency and security in architecture implementations across the enterprise. Steers program direction with executive level leadership team. Provides clarity and guidance to team members on competing priorities, work sequencing, and impediment removal.

The Expertise You Have

• 15+ years of proven experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks and languages.
• Proven leadership in an architecture organization, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable robust solutions.
• Understanding of financial services technology architecture including brokerage, capital markets, and related middle-office systems.
• You stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and architectural approaches.
• Experience with designing and implementing solutions in AWS and Azure.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL and other API types.
• Expert communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and driving alignment across diverse groups of stakeholders.

• Evangelist for Fidelity Architecture and the API Ecosystem ensuring solutions, standards, and test practices meet Fidelity's strategic goals to simplify, advance and protect our customers and the firm.
• Proponent of automation to achieve and validate standards.
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic technical and architectural mentorship to senior management, project team members and functional organizations.
• Cultivating networks with people from across a variety of business units, functions, and locations.
• Experience driving the adoption of enterprise standards and standard methodologies.

• Collaborating with functional business teams, technical architects, and agile leaders to assess and develop comprehensive design solutions for complex business improvement opportunities that span the organization.
• Partnering with enterprise architecture teams to implement consistent architecture standards.
• Providing technical direction on multiple, sophisticated projects, initiatives, and products.
• Providing thought leadership on emerging architectures including API, Cloud, UI, Security and Data.
