Job Title - Team Leader - Systems Engineering
The Purpose The Role
As a Team Leader on the Systems engineering team, you'll get the opportunity to develop your skills and collaborate with engineers across Fidelity Digital Assets in a fun and dynamic environment. You will work closely with engineering teams to deploy applications in production and Business teams to coordinate incident response. You will also work with enterprise infrastructure teams to maintain and support on-prem non-production and production infrastructure. As a leader of the team, you will be responsible to coach / mentor the team members and help in their overall development. You will work with the global Systems Engineering team and stakeholders to prioritized & plan the various activities.

- Championing production stability and proactively monitoring the FDA platforms to avoid business impact
- Leading Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management for FDA
- Promoting an automation culture, providing mentorship and establishing standard methodologies to increase operational efficiency
- Championing automation tools to improve software delivery and reduce risk
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Batchelor's degree in computer science or related field required
- 8+ years' experience
- Experience deploying applications on-prem and cloud infrastructure
- Plan and coordinate upgrades and patches for on-prem infrastructure
- Seek out opportunities to develop and improve existing automation processes
- Experience creating and maintaining non-production and production environments on Windows/Linux.
- Experience with trading order management and FIX protocol
- Understanding of common security transmission/communication protocols (ie TLS, SSH, etc)
- Expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Core, is a plus
- Understanding of networking infrastructure and protocols, is a plus
- Experience with logging and monitoring systems such as Datadog, Splunk
- Experience writing Python, Groovy, and shell scripts
- Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and Security findings with engineering teams
- Support on-call duties, including weekends
- Passionate and committed to learning new things
- Solid analytical and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and workload for self and the team
- Strong organization skills and attention to details
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast paced environment
- Ability to work well independently and within a team setting
- Ability to think strategically and plan for futuristic goals
- Experience of managing a team and coaching / mentoring the engineers for their effective overall development & growth
