The Role

Do you have a solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for SEC-registered investment companies? Are you interested in driving operational change and implementing new regulatory reporting requirements?, If this sounds like you, this job is for you!

As a Senior Manager, Shareholder Reporting you will leverage your analytical stills and attention to detail to deliver accurate and time-sensitive regulatory reports and filings required for shareholders and regulators. You will also coach and mentor staff to achieve high-quality results and adhere to process controls to proactively mitigate risk. Your ability to work within a team and under pressure to meet deadlines will be essential to our success and in helping to support the service line's overall mission to deliver high-quality and efficient shareholder reporting solutions for Fidelity's registered funds.

In this role, you will:

  • Inspire and guide a team to deliver high-quality, time-sensitive regulatory documents.
  • Champion process excellence by implementing strong operational routines and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our external vendors, several internal business partners, and legal teams to streamline workflows and reduce risk.
  • Mentor and develop talent, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of financial services experience with a mutual fund operation, custodian bank or asset manager with a focus on legal and financial regulatory reporting
  • Solid understanding of risk frameworks and ability to design and lead processes ensuring a strong control environment
  • Focus on innovation - ability to identify and drive forward ways to improve and automate current processes
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and influence high impact decisions quickly and accurately
  • Strong understanding of workflows and requirements of internal and external business partners and systems applications
  • Experience with helping to define and understand the environmental impacts of initiatives too anticipate and coordinate operational readiness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation capability
  • This role may be filled at a Manager (gr 5) or Senior Manager (gr 6) level based on business needs.

In Shareholder Reporting, we're on a mission to deliver SMART, SIMPLE and SCALABLE shareholder reporting solutions while cultivating our talent. Our team is part of the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) organization. In fact, we're the largest service line within FFIO and are responsible for producing and distributing financial statements, prospectuses, and other fund and legal documents to our customers and filing them with the SEC. Doing this in the smartest and most effective way is more important than ever as we are in the midst of developing reporting solutions for Fidelity's new investment products, including alternative investments, while incorporating new and changing regulations and implementing a brand new technology platform that will transform the way we work.
