Senior Software Engineer/Developer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Designs and builds large scale Web applications using modern web technologies
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable web applications using modern web front-end and middle-tier technologies.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable web applications using modern web front-end and middle-tier technologies.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and developing high performant financial applications, using modern Web technologies - Angular, JavaScript/Typescript, Node JS, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• DE developing REST API's and integrating API's with front-end technologies; and conducting performance testing using wire mock.
• DE performing application design, development, and testing following design patterns, Agile methodologies, and Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD), using Karma, Selenium, Mocha, Junit, and Cypress.
• DE implementing quality gates with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using DevOps tools - Git, Jenkins, uDeploy, Sonar, AWS cloud, and Blue/Green Deployment model.
