Senior Quant Specialist - Liquid Alts

Job Description:

The Role:

PAG is looking for a top-tier Portfolio Analytics and/or Data Analytics professional who can lead it's Liquid Alts Analytics processes. These operations are critical to Fidelity's Liquid Alts offerings and are used across the Asset Allocation groups within Asset Management. A successful candidate for this position will be the primary interface between investment professionals, investments services teams, technology groups and vendors.

The Value You Deliver:

  • Be responsible for the production workflow of our Liquid Alts processes ensuring the highest quality data outputs drive Fidelity's Liquid Alt products
  • Lead the intake and implementation of daily processes, communication and escalation protocols and documentation for workflows
  • Be the subject matter expert for the Liquid Alts research data and production processes including analytics calculation. Having a solid understanding of reference data & pricing for derivatives, interpreting Greeks for options and credit and default risk numbers is a plus
  • Good understanding of common Liquid Alt products like Trend Following, Alt Risk Premia and various Arbitrage strategies a plus
  • Experience with risk modelling of derivative instruments a plus

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Keen ability to understand the needs of our internal customers and proactively solve for those needs
  • Highly analytical with the ability to quickly comprehend large data sets, develop and implement the right quality controls for these datasets
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated with the ability to meet objectives under minimal directions
  • High proficiency in SQL, Python is required
  • Demonstrated ability as a top performer working in a data analysis role with great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and are confident working with both technical and investment teams
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance or any quantitative discipline is helpful
  • 5+ years of experience in a data and/or operational role.
  • CFA designation or working towards one a plus

The Team:

The role is part of the PAG group, which is an integral part of the Quantitative Research and Investing (QRI) division within Asset Management. The PAG team leads all aspects of production processes, data integrity and end-to-end support for portfolio management, risk models and quantitative research platforms. Working very closely with quantitative researchers and technology partners, PAG associates are responsible for the oversight, maintenance, quality assurance and operational support of production workflows to ensure timely and accurate data is available for direct use within the portfolio management process.
