Job Title - Senior Lead - Data Analytics and Insights

The Purpose of This Role

In this role, you will work with a diverse set of business partners and employ secondary research and analytical abilities to build research solution in the form of Industry research, competitive intelligence, new product research and business case development, market sizing and estimation etc. to solve a diverse set of important business problems and support executive decision making.

The analyst is also expected to develop subject-matter expertise across areas in which Fidelity operates, identify industry trends, as well as keep an eye out on any disruptor activities. This role would also require the analyst to work very closely with other research and analytics BU teams to deliver integrated insights.

• Provide actionable analytics and research insights in a timely, reliable, and impactful manner to drive positive business outcomes for the firm.
• You will design and package your recommendations, backed by storytelling, logical reasoning, and strong data insights, and present the same to partners and stakeholders to inform decision making.
• Empower senior management across Fidelity with up-to-date competitor and market information and actionable insights to enable objective, informed decisions.
• Support various teams and BUs across Fidelity in developing business strategies and business cases.
• Support new business development efforts by bringing in market and industry perspective through external outside in scans.

• You need to bring structured thinking, a data-driven approach, business savvy and a collaborative spirit to partner with stakeholders and understand critical business questions.
• You will need a Consultative approach and will need to understand business challenges & translate them into business solutions.
• You are expected to conduct research and analysis that generates actionable insights for stakeholders and helps them understand their external environment and enable the development of high-impact, efficient solutions, and experiences.
• You need to be able to translate research findings as well as quantitative analyses into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences, providing a clear view into interpreting data, and crisply communicating recommendations.

• Knowledge of brokerage, asset management and wealth management business models and client (institutional and investor) value proposition
• Ability to form a point of view by monitoring industry events and competitors (both traditional and fintechs) across lines of business with the ability to identify and understand implications on the firm in terms of threats and opportunities that arise from competitor moves and industry events.
• Normalize competitor and Fidelity data to enable accurate industry / Fidelity comparisons.
• Create data visualizations for the executive persona that enable a better understanding of Fidelity's competitive landscape.
• Working knowledge of different systems of record across the enterprise and ability to query databases for targeted business analyses.
• Ability to gather information using Internet-based search tools, proprietary databases, third-party information vendors and corporate, NGO, and government reports.
• Extreme facility in MS Office Suite enabling creation of compelling analyses and infographic presentations.
• Proven research and analysis skills with strong writing skills, project management and ability to execute independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong presentation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills Proven ability to work with senior executives and drive learning agenda.

• Experience of working in a consulting set up preferably within financial services.
• Experience in querying of relational databases using SQL/Snowflake
• Track record of using visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
• Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment with competing priorities.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Relevant experience in secondary research, analytics, and visualization
• MBA or equivalent qualification, consulting, or agency experience
