Senior Engineer - Data Analytics and Insights

Job Description:

Join the Data Visualization Team within Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) as a Tech Lead - Data Visualization. You'll lead platform and infrastructure support for key BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) which power operational and analytical reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support BI platforms: Tableau, OBIEE, and Power BI.
• Drive quarterly planning, sprint planning, and manage the reporting book of business.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve production issues promptly.
• Lead deployment of reports, semantic layers, and data connections to production environments.
• Represent FFIO data visualization team in enterprise forums.
• Govern access to reports, dashboards, and workspaces.
• Build and maintain semantic layers and data connections.
• Support business users in developing complex reports and dashboards.
• Conduct regression testing for server upgrades and patches.
• Provide Level 3 (L3) support for BI tools.

Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years in data engineering, visualization, and BI tools.
• Strong client-service mindset with the ability to partner across diverse business teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of data models and alignment with data strategy.
• Effective communicator and collaborator across technical and business teams.
• Expertise in Tableau, OBIEE, Power BI, and experience with AWS, Azure.
• Proficient in Snowflake and Oracle databases.
• Skilled in building interactive, customized dashboards and reports.
• Familiar with semantic layer creation and usage.
• Experience with tools like Stash, ServiceNow, Control-M is required, and SnapLogic is a plus.

Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) technology team crafts and maintains technology solutions and products that enable FFIO to provide accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity mutual fund management and shareholders. Advanced Analytics team is responsible for providing thought-leadership by generating effective insights to improve business excellence using data science techniques.
