The Role - Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with advanced product analyst experience to join the Brokerage Capabilities Alternative Investment & Securities Processing product management team and play a critical role in transforming the legacy Alternative Investments platform into a modern, intuitive digital experience. This position is ideal for a client obsessed, strategic thinker with deep analytical skills and, who thrives at the intersection of business operations, data and product innovation. Your role will blend leadership and planning expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will ensure alignment between the business and engineering teams on the "what and why" work is to be performed through ongoing requirements gathering, analysis and planning.
Key responsibilities for this role
- Act as liaison between business and Engineering teams, E2E understanding of product and business capabilities with high level technical information
- Requirements analysis own and run sessions to elicit business requirements, translate business needs into clear, relevant system requirements
- Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide the Engineering Leaders and Engineering teams
- Defining, refining, and communicating requirements to the Brokerage Engineer Leaders to provide partner delivery support and alignment on prioritized deliverables
- Support the creation of use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria and go to production plan to guide product development aligned to the deliverable
- Tracking and maintain requirement changes, what features are in scope vs out of scope of a deliverable, existing process workflow documentation
- Define and document the deliverables, business benefits, problem statement, and what are the success metrics prior to project kickoff.
Required Skills
Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience as a product analyst, business analyst, or similar role in a digital or operational transformation environment focused on customer or associate facing solutions.
- Strong understanding of operations workflows and processes, preferably in financial services or other regulated industry.
- Ability to translate technical requirements and operational processes into intuitive, actionable product requirements.
- Demonstrated experience informing product strategy and delivery, including opportunity identification, solution design, and working with technology teams for delivery
- Proficient with tools such as JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, Miro, or other analytics and product planning tools.
- Proficient with agile development methodologies and working with cross-functional product teams, engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong communicator with proven stakeholder management and storytelling skills; effectively conveys in technology terms verbal and written with usage of data and visualizations.
- Problem-solver that can identify issues, explore solutions and identify next course of action
- Ability to have hard conversations with business stakeholders thru strong presentation skills of the data and analysis that helps influence the outcome of their decisions.
- Experience with understanding of SQL, relational database and data model and fluency with API contracts preferred

The Team
You will work in partnership with the Brokerage Capability Product Leaders, Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology Engineering Leaders both onshore and offshore, and Enablement Team. We currently support all functions of Alternative Investments within a single application which includes asset review, trades, transfers, reconciliation and distributions. We support multiple stakeholders across Fidelity including the custodial and transfer agent functions.
