Quantitative Analyst
The Fidelity Enterprise Services Advanced Technology for Investment Management Team contributes to the vitality and growth of the organization by transforming breakthrough technologies into practical capabilities for Fidelity's internal and external investment clients. The Team promotes company-wide collaboration while delivering Artificial Intelligence enabled portfolio level perspectives to investment managers and client service colleagues.
The Expertise We're Looking For
- Graduate degree in mathematical finance, computational financial engineering or related fields
- Strong client engagement skills with portfolio managers, financial advisors and/or brokerage platform product managers
- Strong business communications skills for creating and delivering compelling presentations
- 4+ years of academic training/work experience on asset pricing models for equities, munis, convertibles, options, and other derivatives
- Demonstrated success with development of portfolio risk analysis and portfolio optimization algorithms
- Proficiency with advanced SQL, Python, and Bloomberg

Fidelity is looking for an energetic and innovative candidate who brings investment, quantitative, and data science skills for research and development of AI/ML methods to inform investment decision support solutions. The candidate must be curious, creative, and agile in learning and applying investment concepts.
The Skills You Bring
- You have passion for the financial markets, products, and processes (including: Equity Related Instruments/Analytics, Asset Pricing Models/Instruments and Multi-Factor Risk Models)
- You have professional knowledge with statistical models, predictive models and time series analysis (such as regression, classification, simulation, dimension reduction)
- You have solid mathematical background of solving common optimization problems (including: linear/nonlinear/integer programming)
- You have hands-on experience in developing and evaluating machine learning models on large scale datasets
- You have meticulous attention to detail and unquestioned integrity
- You are a fast learner and a good team player

Fidelity Enterprise Services' Advanced Technologies for Investment Management is a multidisciplinary team with expertise in investment management, machine learning, big data, high-performance computing, and advanced engineering. ATIM applies breakthrough technologies and delivers practical analytic capabilities to provide insightful investment-decision support. The team connects with partners across Fidelity to identify market-differentiating opportunities and advance digital growth.
ATIM seeks individuals with diverse skillsets who enjoy connecting to solve cross-functional challenges using investment management, machine learning and advanced technologies. The team cultivates success through a rigorous, collaborative approach that builds, tests, and iterates while learning and applying practical solutions for challenging investment problems.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$179,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
