The Role

We are looking for a strategic and technically adept Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of our Search Platform and Capabilities within Architecture and Technology Foundation (ATF). This role is pivotal in crafting the future of enterprise search experiences, driving innovation in search relevance, indexing, semantic understanding, and AI-powered discovery across multiple business domains and digital ecosystem.

With ATF being technology bedrock for Asset Management Technology (AM Tech), it is critical you bring a good blend of technical, process and product management knowledge to be successful. This is an exciting chance to create a significant impact by playing a key role in AM Tech, collaborating closely with various collaborators to ensure our products meet high standards.

The Value You Deliver

• Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise search capabilities. Ensure alignment with Common Platform principles: reusability, scalability, security, and interoperability.
• Drive platform-level innovation, ensuring that search capabilities are modular, secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Identify emerging trends in search technology and AI to advise long-term platform evolution.
• Champion cross-domain collaboration by aligning search services with the broader Common Platform strategy and engaging with platform and product teams across the domains.
• Guide planning efforts for quarterly and annual periods, ensuring product goals are aligned with business strategy and technology roadmaps.

• Adopts a customer-centric approach to deeply understand user needs, translate strategic goals into actionable plans, make informed decisions, and prioritize initiatives that improve business and user value.
• Ability to break requirements into clear and concise agile tasks with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships as you work closely across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach.
• Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high performing teams.
• Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching technology strategy.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in end-to-end technology solution delivery, with a focus on enterprise search or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of search technologies and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Solr, Lucid, Elasticsearch, and related search technologies.
• Full Stack development exposure with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Typescript, Oracle, Snowflake, CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proven success in quarterly and annual product planning, roadmap execution, and alignment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and agile delivery skills.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), AWS are a plus.
