The Role
Fidelity Digital Assets® SM Technology is looking for a passionate, self-driven release manager to build, maintain, and enforce efficient release management practices across the Fidelity Digital Assets® SM Delivery and technical operations domains. In the role you will build partnerships with squads and technical leaders to identify areas of opportunity to improve processes and promote best practices while also being a bridge between delivery and support teams to ensure effective communication for delivering high quality releases.
As part of the team, you will learn and understand all the components of the crypto ecosystem, analyze trends in release management data, and survey partners to better understand where friction lies in the release process and areas of opportunity to increase release success rates. - Enforcing standardized release processes and guidelines across all delivery and support teams
- Collecting and reporting out release management data to stakeholders
- Partnering with delivery teams to identify, track, and implement technical improvements to the release process with a focus on automation
- Taking ownership and accountability for figuring out what needs to be done to improve release performance
- Ensuring a high level of integrity within the team
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 8+ years professional experience as a Systems Analyst/Business Analyst/Software Engineer for software solutions
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
- Excellent relationship building skills as you work across multiple product areas and functional teams
- Proven experience researching, optimizing, developing, and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems
- Excellent analytical skills
- You are a detail-oriented person with a real passion for accuracy, clarity, and elimination of ambiguity
- You are deeply effective in written and verbal communications and are dedicated to tailoring content to the appropriate audience (business vs. technology, associate vs. management, etc.)
- You are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning and mentoring
- You have or are committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technical skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers
- You understand how technology can automate business processes and can effectively propose, challenge and engage in ideation with business and technology teams in formulating software designs and solutions
- Good interpersonal and leadership and influencing skills (without direct authority of others)
- Self-driven, self-managed, energetic, passionate, and motivated with the ability to work independently to deliver results
- Nice to have - Knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the supporting analytics as well as an understanding of the broader digital asset ecosystem OR interest in learning about cryptocurrencies and digital assets
The Team
The role resides in the Fidelity Digital Assets® SM Technology team and is critical to providing oversight to the ITSM activities within the Fidelity Digital Assets® SM portfolio of products. Members of our team are great partners and communicators, and work with a variety of roles to ensure that work being delivered meets testing, planning, and execution expectations. We will partner together to help support and evolve Fidelity Digital Assets® SM release practices to ensure safe delivery of features and enhancements to meet Fidelity's commitment to customer value and high customer experience standards.
