Position Description:

Develops and implements technical system issue resolutions. Ensures daily business operations - trade processing and correction, fund and sweep translation, and cash position and reconciliation - are not impacted by technical system issues. Resolves system issues during the accounting cycle, and resolves trade flow issues to ensure daily accounting operational activities are completed. Collaborates with product and technology teams to resolve issues in processing accounting data. Directs and oversees critical systems changes and major systems upgrades, and reviews all system and business changes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implements system changes to accommodate unexpected situations - partial market closures.
  • Provides business, impact, and system analysis on business issues as requested.
  • Utilizes data analytics and advanced statistical methodologies to solve complex business problems.
  • Provides solutions to accounting research requests from other business units.
  • Collaborates with business and technology teams to review daily market events.
  • Prepares the application system accordingly for daily business activities.
  • Provides automated solutions for manual tasks, and contributes to product architectural solutions to address high impact system issues.
  • Mentors the team on domain, business, and system knowledge to encourage and drive innovation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) supporting and maintaining Mutual fund accounting suite of applications.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) supporting and maintaining Mutual fund accounting suite of applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") supporting Mutual fund accounting and writing outbound file queries using FIS Investone product interfaces in on-premise and cloud technology platforms-using Python, Oracle, and REST APIs; and performing fund accounting functions - managing Net Asset Value (NAV), Mill-Rate (MILS), Yields, and trade processing, performing data, securities, recordkeeping, corporate action, and money management, pricing, and regulatory reporting - using FIS InvestOne.
  • DE performing Site Reliability Engineering - analyzing the observability, resiliency, availability, and performance of applications; creating dashboards to capture the latency, availability, error, and saturation (performance) of applications using Splunk, Grafana, Promotheus, Catchpoint, and Datadog; and creating SLI/SLO dashboards and automated processes to update changes and pushout new dashboards.
  • DE automating business and technology operational activities-Cloud Rehydration, Application Recycling, Patching, Disaster Recovery, EKS Upgrades, and ITSM reporting using Jenkins/Jenkins Core, uDeploy, Python, Shell Scripting, YAML, and JSON.
  • DE supporting applications hosted in Amazon Web Services ("AWS") Cloud and Kubernetes platforms involving AWS services - S3, RDS, EFS, AWS batch, EKS, EC2, and Lambda.
