Principle Software Engineer in Test

The Role
The Principal Software Engineer in Test will play a key role in Fidelity's growing Stock Plan Services organization. This individual will lead quality for our multi-year modernization effort while also being the direction-setter for standards and best practices for the entire Quality Engineering chapter! This role will be perfect for an innovative individual who is comfortable leading our organization towards the best in-practice tools and approaches!

- Designing, advising, and training on automated tests and tools.
- Advising on Quality Engineering Practices in development of automation scripts.
- Staying current on and advising on industry standard best practices in Quality Engineering.
- Measuring and Reporting key QE metrics.
- Leading across other technical resources.
- Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platforms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 10+ years' experience predominantly in Software Test/ Quality Engineering
- Deep expertise in Functional testing, regression testing and End-to-End testing
- Hands-on Software Development in Test experience
- 4+ years of using Object Oriented Languages like, Python, etc.
- 5+ years of automation scripting experience (not record and playback)
- Good understanding of BDD, CI/CD and DevOps concepts is mandatory.
Expertise in following is required:
- Function UI Validation
- Validation of SOAP/RESTful web services
- Jenkins (CI/CD Pipelines)
- Selenium/Playwright + Behave
- Karate/TestNG
- PL/SQL
- Understanding and working experience of Non-functional testing is preferred.
Nice to have skills:
- Java/JavaScript
- Docker
- AWS/Azure
- Service and/or data Virtualization
- Python/Java
