Tech Lead / Principal Full Stack Software Engineer

The Role

We are currently sourcing for a Tech Lead / Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to work at Fidelity Charitable in Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH. This role will contribute to enhancing the Charitable Contact Center integration with the Enterprise Contact Center (ECC) to improve service delivery, increase associate efficiency, and enhance satisfaction for our Donors, NPOs, and Advisors. You will work on an Agile team focused on telephony and contact center integration while leveraging your technical expertise.

As a Tech Lead / Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will architect and deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-native applications that integrate with enterprise contact center platforms. You'll lead the design and development of complex features such as intelligent call routing, IVR workflows, and real-time analytics, while ensuring seamless integration with internal associate-facing tools like Salesforce. Collaborating across agile teams, you'll translate strategic business requirements into robust technical solutions, drive API-first development, and champion DevSecOps best practices. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership to elevate donor experiences, optimize operational efficiency, and guide the evolution of platform capabilities.

The Expertise You Have

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing full-stack, customer-facing applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.

• Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, with a track record of driving engineering excellence and mentoring teams in Scrum environments.

• Advanced proficiency in front-end technologies and frameworks such as Angular (11+), HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and web components.

• Extensive experience with backend development using Java (11+), Spring Boot, and modern open-source frameworks.

• Strong architectural background in building enterprise-grade digital applications using design patterns like MVC, micro frontends, and microservices.

• Proven leadership in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and driving API-first development strategies.

• Expert-level understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices across large-scale engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools including Jenkins (or Jenkins Core), SonarQube, Mend.io, Datadog, GitHub, and related CI/CD pipelines.

• Deep knowledge of cloud-native development, serverless architectures, and containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Commitment to quality-first development with experience in TDD and automation using tools like Mockito, Jasmine, Mocha, JUnit, and others.

• Strong grasp of secure coding standards and application security principles.

• Experience in the financial services domain and familiarity with contact center or telephony platforms is a plus.

• Exposure to Genesys or similar platforms for telephony integration is desirable.

• Advanced knowledge of modern engineering practices such as trunk-based development, monorepos, feature toggles, and branch-by-abstraction to foster high-performing, collaborative development environments.

• Exceptional communication and influence skills, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment with business and technical stakeholders.

• A growth mindset with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

• Demonstrated passion for mentoring engineers, shaping cross-team architectural decisions, and driving platform strategy to align with long-term business and technology goals
