Fidelity Wealth - Wealth Solutions Engineering Chapter Area is looking for a passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to build and support world-class products for its business-critical Wealth Implementation & Experiences Product Area. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, passionate and dedicated. We work in a dynamic agile environment.
The Team:
As a hands-on tech lead, your primary role will be building, testing, and engineering web applications using modern technologies like Angular, NestJS, Java and REST APIs. You will also lead the technology team in defining and implementing engineering solutions for our technology products. You will be expected to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Extraordinary problem-solving skills dealing with complex distributed deployments.
- 10 years of experience (currently hands on) in Angular, NodeJS, HTML, NGRX, CSS/SASS, Jasmine, Cypress.
- 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC / Spring Core /JSP/ Web Services (SOAP/REST) and configuring web containers.
- 2+ years of Responsive & Progressive Modern Web application development.
- Good to have understanding of Mono Repo and Nx workspace.
- Champion and advocate of Test-Driven Development, Unit testing using frameworks and tools like Jest and Jasmine
- Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, artifactory, uDeploy, etc.
- Hands on experience with public cloud platforms and services (AWS)
- Proven technical design, development, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and design patterns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
- Expertise in delivering front-end solutions and mid-tier services.
- Experience in leading teams in technology and full stack solutions.
Responsibilities:
- You will help design, build and support mission-critical enterprise software applications
- You will define product solutions by working directly with business and product teams
- You will actively promote good engineering practices and standards
- You will help navigate new technologies and cloud-based deployments to help deliver high value to our business
- You will contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
- You will perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
- You will proactively lead process and technology improvement initiatives
- You will stay on top of the latest engineering trends and practices and bring them back to the team when appropriate
- You will mentor junior team members
