Job Description:
The Role
In this role, you will lead data, analytics, and technology efforts reporting to the Head of Procurement. This role drives the development and execution of analytics strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation. The VP, leading a team of data analysts, will oversee Vendor management-wide data initiatives, foster a data-driven culture, and ensure the delivery of actionable insights through advanced analytics, and business intelligence. While delivering just in time solutions, will create a strategy that will foster fundamental data solution that will become the authoritative source for Vendor Management.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership; developing and executing a comprehensive data analytics strategy, collaborating with senior leadership to identify and prioritize analytics opportunities, and championing the use of data to drive decision-making and innovation. You will be responsible for data governance and infrastructure, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through strong governance practices and partnering with I.T. to maintain scalable data infrastructure. You will partner across Vendor management as well as technology teams and maintain KPIs, dashboards, management tools and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 10+ years of work experience in data, analytics, and reporting or a related field.
- Proven success building and leading a high performing analytics function.
- Strong track record of delivering measurable business impact through data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational navigator and teammate who finds common ground and can gain alignment among management, colleagues, and peers
- Analytical business problem solver who can ask questions, and use analytics to frame problems, opportunities, and solutions
- You can answer complex business questions and tell a story through the creative use of data analytics
- Advanced statistical analysis and modeling
- Proficiency with Machine Learning and AI principles
- Advanced understanding of data visualization and storytelling concepts including expertise with one or more BI Platforms
- Experience with Data platforms (MySql, Snowflake, Oracle) and database architecture and design principles
- Experience and expertise with data mining, movement, integration, ETL and automation tools (SQL, Python, R, Informatica, Alteryx, Blue Prism/RPA)
- Experience with use of APIs to extract data from cloud services (SAP, AWS, Azure)

- Drive seamless integration of Vendor Management, Vendor Risk, Procurement, Accounts Payables, Operations and workforce data sources
- Provide solution to all business units
- Deliver custom complex analytics and executive materials to drive data-driven decisions
- Develop the vision and drive the strategy for continuous improvement of data, tools and solutions within the broader Vendor Management function
- Developing new solutions and tools that Vendor management professionals will use to proactively identify supply chain opportunities across the firm
- Leveraging data and visualization technologies to uncover insights
- Participating on internal strategic initiatives, sourcing projects, or other special projects that benefit from your subject matter expertise
- Translate findings into meaningful and actionable information to assist Fidelity managers in understanding their spend patterns, purchasing behavior, cost drivers and savings opportunities
The Team
The Data, Analytics & Insights team's objective is to bring actionable insights and analytics through services, tools, and information to support Procurement's ability to efficiently evaluate vendor engagements, mitigate risk and maximize supplier value.
Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most roles listed as Hybrid will require associates to work onsite all business days of every other week in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to roles listed as Remote or Onsite.
