Financial Analyst, WI/HCG Central Finance

Role

The Financial Analyst role is a member of the WI/HCG Data Strategy & Costing Finance Team, a Center of Excellence (CoE) delivering impactful and insightful financial reporting and analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to provide a broad range of reporting solutions, analytics, process improvement, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the broader organization. As a Financial Analyst on the WI/HCG Data Strategy & Costing Finance Team, you will also design and implement new allocations and assignments as well as conduct essential data validation and quality review.

You will be responsible for developing, rationalizing, improving, and delivering both statistical and profitability data reporting and analytical solutions for the WI / HCG finance community and our business partners. You will also partner with corporate finance to provide data and analytical support for the full suite of finance modernization initiatives. The analyses and insights delivered through our data strategy and costing work are critical components to drive business planning and ongoing decision making.

The Expertise and Skills We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis; 1+ years of experience with advanced degree
  • Financial services experience; experience in benefits outsourcing (WI/HCG) a plus
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and presentation tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) with experience in business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects, Anaplan, etc.), exposure to data ETL tools (like Alteryx and KNIME) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with Finance and business partners at varying levels of the organization

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently to perform most analyses
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership for managing large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy

  • Lead analyst for costing and profitability analysis to support production views, deep dive analysis and build and test of next generation profitability models.
  • Play a lead role in the rollout and testing of additional next generation allocated views content.
  • Driving high impact / high visibility data strategy projects and deliverables across WI/HCG
  • Utilizing automated and centralized reporting solutions to provide analyses and strategic recommendations to management and business partners
  • Synthesizing data, analyses, and conclusions into presentation format for senior management
  • Finding opportunities to streamline work processes to make the team more efficient and effective
  • Proactive partnership and communication with business and Finance partners
  • Using tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information, reporting and analytics that evolve with changes in the business

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
