The Role

Reporting to the VP, Content Strategy, you'll be a senior leader responsible for creating strategies that balance emotional decision making with the right next step.

Collaborate with product design and research teams to uncover the right customer problem to solve then ideate multiple solution paths. You'll write UX copy for mobile user flows that make Fidelity's solutions simple, obvious, and consistent. With polished presentation and storytelling skills, present conceptual directions, research findings, and creative rationale to executive leadership.

While your day-to-day will vary, you'll have the opportunity to develop style guides expressing how the brand shows up in a specific focus area. Own the UX copy for navigation, labels, short form messaging, and contribute to the way we personalize the app to every user. Contribute to the learning agenda, moderated user tests, and analysis of results to make informed decisions.

Together we can shape the digital experiences that enhance people's financial lives. Apply now and share your portfolio of strategy and writing samples.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Advanced strategy and writing chops (10+ years or more in content strategy, UX writing, or copywriting). Experience writing within financial services is a plus. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Deep empathy and understanding. This means you create for your audience, being mindful of accessibility and inclusivity.
  • A knack for breaking down complex topics so they sound more like dinner conversation and less like a white paper.
  • Knowledge of creating content strategy frameworks that solve user problems and deliver clear content project plans.
  • Understanding of when and how to ask for and accept feedback-and yes, this includes working with legal and compliance. Sometimes, the only kind of writing is rewriting, and you're able to iterate quickly.
  • The ability to thrive (aka plan and collaborate) in an Agile team of designers, researchers, developers, and business partners. You lead through influence at varying levels of the organization.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to coach peers, guide others to perform at the highest level, and step up as leader to drive consistent processes.
  • Organizational skills and insight to streamline processes and create consistency across projects and initiatives.
  • A desire to understand the "big-picture" of organizational problems and contributing to alternative solutions.

The Team

You would join a small, tight-knit content team. And you would report into a larger, 130-strong team of creators, visionaries, technical writers, former educators, long-time journalists, and passionate poets of all different backgrounds. Even though we're big, we feel small. And there is plenty of support to upskill in your craft, discuss everything down to the Oxford comma, and grow in your career.
