Job Description:
The Role
In the role of Director of Strategy & Planning at Fidelity Investments, you will get to craft the future of our Wealth business. This pivotal position demands a blend of strategic, analytical, and communication skills to assist and drive key initiatives. You will be a key figure in business management and strategic direction for the Fidelity Wealth Strategy business, delivering outcomes both independently and through collaboration in our dynamic, highly matrixed organization.
Your responsibilities will include strategy development, strategic planning, project management, interacting with various data sets, constructing financial models, and effectively conveying findings, along with having strong project management and implementation abilities are crucial. You will interact with senior leaders, collaborate with different teams, to lead and spearhead projects. If you are motivated by creative ideas, possess a customer and business-focused approach, and can ensure consistency throughout extended projects, this position is suitable for you.
Responsibilities:
• Business Management & Operations: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate leadership routines, offsites, and key initiatives to ensure seamless operations.
• Strategy Development: Engage in strategy development activities, including market sizing, opportunity assessment, and financial modeling, to support long-term business goals.
• Planning Support: Assist in the business planning process and monitor progress towards multi-year goals.
• Analysis: Develop and improve analyses to deepen understanding of the retail financial services industry and current trends and to support strategic business programs.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner across multiple levels of the Wealth organization and with other business units to ensure alignment and successful delivery of initiatives.
• Communications: Develop executive-level communications to convey complex ideas and provide strategic recommendations effectively.
The Skills and Expertise You Bring
• BA/BS required; MBA or equivalent Main degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, finance, and/or management consulting
• 10+ years in a professional environment with a proven impact at executive levels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and develop executive-level materials
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; visual design expertise is a plus
• Experience in financial services and navigating large organizations to deliver results

Business Strategy
