Director, Quality and Operational Control
The Role
The Director of Quality and Operational Control is responsible for supporting the strategic development, implementation, and management of the Quality Program for Fidelity Charitable. Your contributions will enable greater operational and service consistency across Fidelity Charitable while enhancing transparency to risks and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of our end-to-end control environment. You will also evolve the tools and standards we apply to optimize our team's value proposition.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required, 8+ years of work experience in Quality Management, Process Improvement, Risk, or Operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of one or more operational improvement frameworks, methodologies or toolkits such as Lean, Six Sigma or Business Process Reengineering
- Experience with designing processes/controls for automation
- Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple concurrent objectives or activities while meeting deadlines
- Strategic end-to-end business thinking, planning and decision making
- Strong relationship building, interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve alignment with key business partners
- Proven ability to develop concise, clear and insightful executive-level presentations
- Outcome orientation, commitment to continuous improvement with a growth mindset

The Value You Deliver
- Independently lead and oversee complex projects, and own critical governance and oversight routines
- Design and implement controls, with a focus on digitization/automation, to improve process health and reduce risk
- Use standard methodologies to conduct root cause analysis, formulate cogent problem statements, and quantify opportunities
- Provide visibility to control results and root causes of issues; oversee the matrixed delivery of response actions across functions, that reduce risk and eliminate repeat issues
- Drive improvement to the end-to-end customer experience, by looking at processes through customer lens, challenging assumptions, and delivering improvements that scale
- Champion a culture of quality throughout Fidelity Charitable through communications, education/training and associate engagement
- Track and present overall quality picture to senior leaders
- Participate in various cross-functional governance forums to represent the quality / control perspective

Fidelity Charitable is a public charity that sponsors the largest national donor-advised fund program. Since 1991, Fidelity Charitable has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits - and increased charitable impact - of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. Fidelity Charitable is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all the charitable organization's employees and supports all its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising
