Director of Product Strategy, Advanced Brokerage

The Role:

We're seeking a Director of Product Strategy, Advanced Brokerage, to lead key initiatives for the growth of our sophisticated brokerage solutions within Fidelity Brokerage. This role will define the product vision, craft the roadmap, and lead key critical initiatives to significantly expand products and offerings, open new client segments, drive customer adoption, increase asset flows, and drive revenue growth.

As a key member of the Product Strategy team, we are seeking a strong contributor to develop the strategy for our Active Trader Pro/Trader+ trading platforms, margin, securities finance, and other offerings and capabilities targeting our most sophisticated trading customers. We are looking for someone who will collaborate closely with Enterprise partners, Fidelity Consulting, Strategy & Planning, Delivery, Technology/Architecture, Marketing, and Distribution teams to ensure solid execution. You'll also lead competitive research, financial analysis, opportunity sizing, and business case development of key strategic priorities.

This role reports to the Vice President, Product Strategy, Advanced Brokerage and is part of the Brokerage Customer and Product strategy organization responsible for commercializing our brokerage offering to drive growth within the self-directed investing markets and customer segments.

The Skills and Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; MBA, Chartered Financial Analyst designation, or equivalent, a plus.
  • Series 7 is preferred, but not required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Trading, Product Development, Software Development, Product Strategy, or Consulting roles within the financial services industry.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in equity, ETF, options, futures, or crypto markets; trading and order management systems; margin and securities finance; hedge funds and prime brokerage; or other relevant brokerage experience.
  • Strong background in defining strategic roadmaps and leading the development of solutions and offerings aligned with, and in support of, the strategic direction of the business.
  • Experience engaging with senior internal and external customers and partners.
  • Experience leading teams and working collaboratively across a matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy Development: Owns the development and iteration of the strategic roadmap to optimize and meet customer and market needs.
  • Market Engagement: Provides market-facing insights and commentary through partnerships with business development, relationship management, and client service teams.
  • Competitive Landscape: Leads competitive research on key market participants and builds strategic partnerships with them.
  • Business Planning & Execution: Builds comprehensive business plans, including financial modeling, pricing, and expense projections, while prioritizing, sequencing, and phasing deliverables, and defining go-to-market strategies with compelling value propositions.
  • Product Delivery Leadership: Partners with the Delivery Organization to deliver brokerage solutions, features, and concepts to market, targeted to diverse customer segments.
  • Cross-Enterprise Partnership: Leads cross-enterprise business unit alignment for product readiness and deployment of sophisticated brokerage offerings, establishing project plans and leading them throughout their lifecycle.
  • Market & Regulatory Insights: Communicates strategic insights on regulatory and legislative trends, and their impact on the client/customer experience.
  • Communication: Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence and engage across Fidelity and levels of the organization.
  • Data driven decision making: Data-focused approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoff analyses.

The Team:

Our team manages our existing brokerage product offerings by strategically driving the development, market launch and continual support and improvement of our brokerage products. We define and manage our customer and solution offering for the brokerage business and partner with Delivery, Distribution, and Enabling Teams to conceptualize, develop, launch, and evolve offerings to achieve business outcomes.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
