Job Description:
Join Fidelity Labs as the Director of Venture Strategy, where you will lead and optimize our innovation process. This role will be responsible for driving idea generation across Fidelity, building relationships with the external ecosystem, and managing the journey from concept to incubation. You will expand our validation framework, coordinate market research, and facilitate leadership discussions to identify and launch new ventures.
The Role
As Director of Venture Strategy, you will own the process by which Labs researches and validates potential new business ventures.
- Design, manage and scale the Fidelity Labs end-to-end process for idea collection and new venture evaluation.

- Develop and refine heuristics and frameworks for assessing new venture opportunities, incorporating rigorous market research, market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial viability modeling.
- Engage with the startup ecosystem to source external ideas and trends.
- Network with internal Fidelity business units to identify Labs-relevant opportunities.
- Originate new ideas and collaborate with in-house entrepreneurs.
- Develop best entrepreneurial best practices as we scale our new venture pipeline.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Experience in venture capital, venture studios, corporate innovation, or similar roles focused on creating and evaluating new ventures.
- Brings strong analytical and strategic frameworks to their process design
- Strong communication skills particularly across Fidelity business units
- Track record of delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience building partnerships with external organizations and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working with software teams who are building software preferably in Fintech/Financial Services.
- Domain expertise in Fintech/Financial services preferred but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$218,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
