The Role
In this role on the Fixed Income Shared Services team, you will use your knowledge and leadership of product management, business domains, software and cloud computing to design solutions and take them to market. You will help drive awareness of our solutions across multiple cross-functional teams along with technical guidance to help strengthen our engineering community. Your passion, technical and business depth will help decision makers understand the benefits of platform based architectural solutions to drive growth and customer success. The Expertise You Have
- 8-10 years of related product management experience, systems development, product development, and/or project/product management
- Influence the technology roadmap and rollout of engineering standards, technology direction, allowing the business leaders to develop key insights to effectively manage the business today and in the future.
- Mentor engineers to effectively collaborate with technology partners on architectural assessments, engineering discipline and standards to drive decisions and develop products based on data, analytical findings, technology metrics and engineering standards.
- Experience working alongside multiple teams as part of a broader program to achieve shared objectives.
- Design and architect complex solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field

The Skills You Bring
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, including Java Web services and API solutions.
- Deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation.
- Leadership & Strong execution skills in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
- Awareness of event-based systems, emerging technologies, and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS.
- Expertise in open-source streaming products, Micro services and Message Oriented Middleware, Stream processing.
- Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core and JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services.
- Experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems.
- Strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building, crafting, and reviewing code.
The Value You Deliver
- Drive technology and architecture roadmap for various Capabilities in FIFT
- Develop prototypes and orchestrate solutions in MVP, iterative approach
- Work with multiple squads using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Provide technical expertise as requested by members of shared services team.
The Team
The FIFT organization crafts all the technology systems used in Fixed Income for the Bond and Money Market Product areas. FIFT also handles common trading services as well as the systems used for Finance and Fund Oversight. The applications and services provided enable investment decision making, portfolio management, and trading for combined assets under management of approximately $2 trillion. Through our Agile practices, we have developed an operating rhythm that ensures we are consistently delivering the highest value work for our customers and partners. We work on a wide variety of technologies including AWS, Angular, Java, Python, REST/API, PL/SQL, HTML and Kafka.
