The Role

Would you like to help shape the future of Fidelity's Personal Investment (PI) customer engagement using your expertise in building enterprise scale customer data platform? The CDP Solution Architect plays a key role in the Fidelity Enterprise Architecture team. Our technology powers consistent cross channel customer engagement across the entire customer lifecycle journey. The Customer Data Platform team delivers these solutions by collecting, organizing, and harmonizing 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data into self-service activation profiles which are then activated in different experience channels for consistent, contextual, and personalized experiences.

The Solution Architect works closely with business sponsors, project managers, engineers, and architects to develop strategies, standards, policies, and recommendations to develop best of class solutions for our associates and customers. This role leads the end-to-end architecture and is responsible for ensuring solutions meet strategic business and technical goals. The Solution Architect should enjoy open collaboration across teams, owning the outcome, and be well versed in both hands-on technical challenges and communicating strategies to partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineer field or equivalent experience (MS degree preferred)
  • Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead
  • Experience building highly personalized and scalable architecture to support omnichannel customer engagement strategy.
  • Proven expertise in building Customer Data Platforms preferably with Segment CDP and integrating in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience implementing Martech tools like Salesforce Journey Builder, Google Analytics, Adobe Target, Localytics, Liveramp, etc.
  • Deep understanding and proven expertise with different integration patterns like APIs, events, and batch.
  • Strong experience in software engineering (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
  • Hands on experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience creating ML models that generate insights like LTV, propensity and churn scores and integrating them with CDP.
  • Experience with data modeling and domain modeling
  • Experience with cloud native (AWS / Azure) solutions with certification preferred.
  • Expertise with CI/CD and unit test practices / Test Driven Development
  • Knowledgeable of API Management and domain driven design
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and provide end-to-end reference architecture designs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills who can clearly articulate and influence design solutions.

As a member of the architecture team, you will take part in developing a new experience for our associates and customers in our mobile, web, and voice platforms as well as our Investor Centers. You will work with architecture and application teams to help champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver on new technology patterns across the stack for our associate and customer use.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
