Provide leadership and initiative in the overall coordination of designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs highly complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for highly complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Responsibilities: Work across backend, frontend, and interact with LLMs and/or other ML models Deliver high-quality experiments and solutions Collaborate with diverse teams across the entire lifecycle from intake to experimentation to graduation Conceptualize, develop, and deploy features and enhancements using artificial intelligence technologies and frameworks Design, architect, and implement scalable backend systems and APIs Optimize AI algorithms and models for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability Integrate machine learning models, algorithms, and data pipelines into the backend infrastructure Continually improve LLM performance and accuracy Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate their potential impact on our product roadmap Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team Mentor and provide technical guidance Skills: Excitement to work within AI and Data Science environments Background in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and fine tuning Knowledge or working experience with models such as LLaMA, LlamaIndex, Lang Chain, and more Strong understanding of AI tooling ecosystem including Kubernetes, MLOps, and AIOps tools Experience with SQL, NoSQL Graph, and Vector databases Experience with machine learning concepts and techniques Proficiency with Python and ML-adjacent libraries Proficiencies in one or more of Python, Node, React, Next.js, and MongoDB Experience scaling products at hyper-growth Exceptional problem-solving, verbal, written, and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Minimum Qualifications: Software Engineer Lead - Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) to Seven (7) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Software Engineer II - Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Two (2) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience. Sponsorship is not available for the Software Engineer II position. Domicile Information: This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
