THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Talent Management Consultant role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Use talent management subject matter knowledge and experience to contribute to the development and evolution of Fannie Mae's Talent Strategy.
- Partner in developing talent planning and management solutions that enable individual, team, and organizational performance and leading end-to-end implementation of them, including:
- Creating and executing project plans, timelines, processes, guidance, resources, communications, reports, change management plans, and other artifacts.
- Partnering with Human Capital Consultants and business leaders to develop, pilot and refine solutions, including coordinating implementation and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
- Own end-to-end execution of core talent capabilities, such as employee performance management, talent potential assessments, succession planning, and talent discussions, including:
- Partnering to identify and implement enhancements to core capabilities that enable business imperatives and meet regulatory requirements.
- Defining processes for core capabilities and building the infrastructure (guidance, communications, resources, toolkits, reports, and other artifacts) needed to execute them.
- Executing and continuously improving cyclical processes.
- Partnering with Human Capital Consultants to support practical application of capabilities, helping to solve or escalate problems and risks as appropriate.
- Partnering across HR to draw insights from data to equip senior leadership with the information they need to make key talent and business decisions.
- Developing and implementing change management plans and resources that support the evolution of talent capabilities and consider the organizational context and appetite for change.
- Conduct research into talent management thought leadership, industry insights, and best practices as needed to inform work.
- Partner with key stakeholders to achieve results, including Human Capital Consultants, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Planning & Analytics.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4 years of experience supporting the design and implementation of high profile, complex talent management and talent planning programs and processes, including those related to performance management, succession planning, employee potential assessment, team effectiveness, and talent reviews.
- Ability to move work forward independently while seeking guidance and direction as appropriate and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
- Strong organizational skills, proactivity, and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, including ability to build rapport and alignment with various stakeholder groups.
- Ability to speak and write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner tailored to the unique needs and priorities of a given audience.
- Ability to consistently develop polished work products that reflect logical thinking.
- Basic understanding of business drivers and their relevance to talent management.
- Structured problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability and experience moving work forward in the face of ambiguity.
- Continuous improvement and feedback mindset.
- Ability to manage up and anticipate the needs of clients and supervisors.
- Skilled in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience in Workday HCM a plus.
- Experience analyzing the impact of programs using a variety of metrics and measurement approaches.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
