Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to developing data infrastructure and pipelines to capture, integrate, organize, and centralize data while testing and ensuring the data is readily accessible and in a usable state, including quality assurance.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Sr Java/AWS Engineer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
- Architect and implement integration solutions using modern tech stacks including Kafka, Kinesis, and API Gateway.
- Process and analyze structured and unstructured data using Spark, Amazon EMR, and PySpark.
- Manage and monitor AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Glue ETL, Redshift, and CloudFormation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Terraform, Gradle/Maven, and GitLab/Bitbucket.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support change management, governance, and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain and optimize operating systems, ensuring timely updates and patching.
- Create and manage databases using Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL, and Hadoop.
- Develop data visualizations and reports using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and SSRS.
- Apply automation technologies such as BPA and RPA to streamline business processes.
- Lead project planning, resource management, and delivery tracking using Jira and Rally.

- Bachelor degree or equivalent
Skills
- Strong fundamentals in Object-Oriented Programming and Core Java.
- Proven experience with Spring (Core, Boot, Batch, Web) and Hibernate.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS services, Docker, ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Auto Scaling.
- Skilled in system analysis, error resolution, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including technical writing and dashboard creation.
- Experience with enterprise application integration tools such as xMatters, WebSphere, or AWS Application Integration.
- Familiarity with data mining tools like Oracle Data Mining or Informatica.
- Background in governance and compliance, including policy creation and internal investigations.
