Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice on, and guide team members in, managing the administration, strategic planning, and operations of an assigned portfolio. In this role, you will monitor the end-to-end execution of business processes using enterprise systems, as well as provide continuous feedback for effective tracking and reporting.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Multifamily Structured Transactions Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Support a portfolio's vision and strategic objectives.
  • Lead portfolio progress analysis and enact changes, along with reporting portfolio performance to key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate risk of current assets, while complying with governance and controls.

The Lead Associate will support the Structured Asset Management team in managing a portfolio of Credit Facility and Bulk Delivery loans. This includes performing activities associated with Loan Rating, Maturing Loans and Watchlist loans. The Lead Associate will also review and resolve Borrower Requests that are submitted by our Lender Partners. They will review standard Fannie Mae loan documents and will utilize the Multifamily Selling and Servicing Guide as a tool for analysis to make recommendations or conclusions. The Lead Associate will interact with internal and external stakeholders to gather research and provide information.

The Lead Associate will manage a portfolio of loans and requests including:

  • Managing Maturing loans
  • Managing Watchlist loans
  • Evaluating the performance of loans and rating loans appropriately
  • Analyzing, assessing and mitigating loan credit risk
  • Reviewing sponsor analysis
  • Reviewing 3rd party reports, including appraisals and property condition reports
  • Reviewing Borrower Requests and Consents
  • Managing Interest Rate Hedges

They will also use the many systems where the loan data is maintained (MMBD, MSFMS, DUS360), the platforms for Borrower Requests (MAMP) and Acquisitions (DUS Gateway) and Fannie Mae MBS Securities (DUS Disclose), as well as the Delegation of Authority matrix that governs our procedures.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experience

  • 4 years of relevant experience

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Real Estate Asset Management experience
  • Real Estate Financial Analysis and Credit experience
  • Loss Mitigation, Risk Rating, Watchlist and Maturing loans experience

Target Pay Range: $121,000 - $158,000 a year

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
