As a valued colleague on our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance and Ethics (C&E) team, you will provide expert advice on and guide a team in assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our operations, reputation, and/or financial success. You will engage with key stakeholders across the enterprise to provide thought leadership. You will focus on risks, controls, and governance in the Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance and Ethics divisions.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Internal Audit Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Lead with impact: Define audit/review objectives and conduct control design and operating effectiveness assessments for the second line risk management and compliance and ethics areas.
- Continuous monitoring: Support ongoing risk assessments, identification of emerging risks and auditing efforts.
- Leverage technology: Use analytical tools during the audit/review lifecycle to identify and make data-driven decisions and enhance audit insights.
- Mentor and Manage: Oversee project plans and coach junior team members to ensure successful audit/review project completion, including preparing and reviewing complex workpapers.
- Communicate with influence: Ongoing engagement with senior leadership to identify emerging risks, communicate audit/review scope, issues, risks, and recommendations in written reports and oral presentations.
- Innovate and Improve: Identify process enhancements and efficiency opportunities through continuous monitoring and audits/reviews.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 6 years related experience in the financial services industry focusing on risk management, compliance and/or providing assurances services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and teams to perform independent risk reviews, including control design assessments, utilizing industry common and leading practices.
- Core audit certification (i.e. CPA, CIA) or relevant specialty certification.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Able to present information and/or ideas to audiences in ways that are engaging and easy to understand.
- Strong work ethic, excellent use of discretion and judgment and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task on various assignments.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and leading through ambiguity.
- Influencing skills to include negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Preferred prior experience includes supporting and leading compliance programs, performing risk-based auditing and supporting enterprise risk management processes including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks.
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry.
- Experience using data and analytical tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, or Tableau and performing automated control testing and data analytics.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
