Job Description

The Finance- Reporting- Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist, contribute, and develop reporting requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data and information for reports to be presented to internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather required information and meet reporting timelines.
  • Design or produce reports using information gathered.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business or regulatory need. Review reports for accuracy and timeliness, provide insightful analysis, and explain reporting results.
  • Support the development of financial driver language and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) content so that is clear, well-structured, and tailored to effectively engage the intended audience.
  • Assist in researching and implementing new accounting standards under U.S. GAAP and other public company regulations.
  • Propose process improvements including identifying and assisting in the implementation of opportunities where technology can achieve automation and/or simplification.
  • Lead cross-functional business meetings with key stakeholders, effectively communicating and gathering financial insights and aligning on reporting objectives and deliverables.

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 3 years of experience

Desired Experience

  • Bachelors degree and/or master's degree in accounting or finance
  • Have a basic knowledge and understanding of GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Ability to develop a solid understanding of Fannie Mae's business model with the ability to explain financial results in a meaningful way; must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Experience analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience using accounting software such as Workiva and/or Workday (preferred)

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
