- Provide leadership to implement our data analytics and AI strategy for internal audit and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvements.
- Provide leadership to the advanced data analytic program and the data analytics team for Internal Audit to foster and grow data analytic usage in complex and multifaceted validation and audit testing.
- Promote use of advanced analytics and automation methods and techniques across the audit department through delivery of proof-of-concept engagements, demonstrations, and education and information sessions.
- Lead the ideation of new data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, RPAs, and other advanced technologies to deepen audit insights and improve quality and efficiency.
- Manage and oversee the advanced analytic work to ensure it is delivered accurately, timely and complete, adhering to Internal Audit documentation standards.
- Provide oversight to a cross functional team responsible for analyzing complex data, identifying anomalies, and providing useful insight to internal and external customers.
- Design and implement Continuous Auditing techniques and methodology, enhancing processes to deepen audit insights and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness with which assurance work is executed.
- Assist and provide guidance in evaluating the effectiveness of delivered audit innovation solutions to ensure the solutions remain fit-for-purpose, accurate, complete, and timely.
- Facilitate the communication of delivered audit innovation solutions to broader audit department, individual teams, and audit stakeholders, as necessary.
- Identify and assess the risks associated with the new technologies and develop and implement controls to mitigate the risks accordingly to ensure reliability of the audit results. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
The Experience You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Accounting, Data Analytics, and Data Science.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry and/or within a reputable risk advisory/professional services company.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity with a background both managing and mentoring a team.
- Strong understanding of audit principles, methodologies, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to enable teams around a new strategy and process(es).
- An understanding of data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools and languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as CIDA (Certified Internal Data Analyst), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) are a plus.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
