Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will provide expert advice to the team and participate in designing, developing, testing, and/or maintaining hardware, technology, and/or processes.

The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for driving the Fannie Mae database Cloud Pattern Development and Manage the Catalog of Services. The advisor is also responsible for driving the adoption across a diverse user community.

The Cloud Infrastructure - Technology Engineering - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in discovery or visioning phase to create a high-level design approach and key architectural decisions that impact the business
  • Develop a cloud native architecture that optimizes flexibility, scalability, performance and resiliency
  • Frequently interact with the business, aligned with the Product, to integrate knowledge of the business and functional priorities
  • Work side-by-side with developers on new patterns
  • Recommend new technologies and identify innovation opportunities to improve service architecture strategy
  • Participate in the DWG to review and ensure design is aligned with defined principles
  • Develop and socialize cloud service patterns that support business application consumption.
  • Serve as the final accountability on the service portfolio and roadmap decisions for cloud patterns.
  • Ensure products are enterprise ready

Strong technical resource in the area of Database Engineering/Administration and DevOps Automation with AWS, and cloud IAAS and PAAS for managed database and supporting technologies. This role specializes in end to end AWS DB Cloud tool development and database automation, from data store selection to Implementation in production. The role requires expert hands-on knowledge of Redshift, Aurora-Postgres, AWS database migration tool, AWS Schema Conversion tool, and RDS, EC2, DMS, SCT, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, Step-Functions, ECS , VPC, CloudWatch, Document DB, Neptune, Sagemaker, S3, IAM ,SNS. Ideal candidate should have good experience with DevOps and Sysops with associated AWS Certifications.

DevOps/Automation skills:

  • Development of automation tasks for automate Entitlement management for Oracle database.
  • Development of scripts to automate back and restore in Oracle, MS Sql server and PostgreSQL.
  • Development of automation script for installing and monitoring various middleware tools.
  • Development of scripts using Python, Perl and Shell scripting
  • Development of CI/CD pipeline using AWS Code build and code pipeline.
  • Flyway implementation for applications

The hiring range for this role is set forth below.
