Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with associate questions and communications, while ensuring accurate, efficient administration of benefits and programs.
As a Benefits Specialist at Famous you will play a crucial role in administering our employee benefits programs. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring our employees understand and take full advantage of the benefits we offer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact for associate questions and provide guidance on benefit options and procedures.
- Process benefit enrollment for new associates, ensuring timely completion of required documents.
- Handle day-to-day activities related to associate benefits programs.
- Administer Open Enrollment initiatives.
- Maintain wellness programs and exam tracking.
- Maintain accurate associate benefit records and generate necessary reports as needed.
- Collaborate with benefit plan providers and vendors.
- Stay updated on compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Required Experience and Skills:
- 2-3 years’ experience administering benefits.
- Strong in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to navigate HRIS.
- Experience with self-funded medical insurance plans
- EOI, COBRA, and ACA administration.
- PCORI filing.
- Experience with insurance/disability/life claims.
- Benefits deductions, waivers, and self-billing for ancillary lines of coverage.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Prior use of ADP a plus!
