Our client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a HFC Design Engineer to join their team. As a HFC Design Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and effective interpersonal communication, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: HFC Design Engineer
Location: Chester, New York
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
What's the Job?
- Quality Control oversight for mapping and design projects, including network extensions, relocations, and maintenance.
- Ongoing coordination with in-house and contractor resources to complete network “As-Builts” based on field verification.
- Manage in-house and design contractor projects through the Metasolv and construction portal.
- Resolve issues within different design software and recommend improvements for navigation through design and construction tools.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop new tools and enhance end-user viewing software for improved network database feedback.

What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience in lieu of.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated proficiency within GIS systems and understanding of basic mapping and cartographic concepts.
- Extensive knowledge of the cable industry, HFC design job types, AutoCAD, Oracle, and network performance issues.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and communicate effectively with various departments and contractors.
