Job Title: Engineer Associate (Electrical)
Location: In-Office 5x a week in New Albany, OH
Pay Range: $35 per hour
Duration:  12mo contract to hire
Candidates:  US Citizens or GC Holders

As an Engineer Associate, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Accurately model transmission system topology including impedance and facility ratings for lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages.
  • Fulfill various system modeling related requests from Engineering and Operations personnel submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with others internal/external to the team to model planned projects, build power flow, and short circuit model cases representing the future transmission system.
  • Participate in the planning and organization of project work activities.
  • Perform electrical transmission system analysis and protection system studies, as requested.

What's Needed?

  • Preferred education and background in Electrical Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited program.
  • Demonstrated experience modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN OneLiner and/or Siemens PSSE.
  • Experience with NERC Compliance Standards and performing transmission system fault studies.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience.
