Data Center Technician

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the D&T department supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate

What's the Job?

• Perform Rack & Stack and cabling between cabinets on servers and network assets in a data center.
• Install, test, label, and dress both fiber and copper cabling.
• Reboot devices and demonstrate general familiarity with server operations.
• Participate in troubleshooting calls and communicate effectively with clients.
• Manage asset inventory and assist with shipping and receiving tasks.

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of experience working in a data center environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to work on ladders and lift devices weighing over 50 lbs.
