Construction Manager 4

Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join their team. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be part of the Operations Construction department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Construction Manager 

Location: West Des Moines, IA

Pay Range: $69-75 per hour

What's the Job?

• Operations Construction Team within data center operations to manage retrofit construction projects inside live facilities. Projects tend to have smaller size in the existing facilities.
• Manage projects, coordination with operations team, general contractors.
• Evaluating design docs, overseeing construction in the field for safety and quality.
• Manage and coordinate company personnel and resources for multiple construction projects.
• Oversee all aspects of the project from inception through closeout, ensuring timely delivery.
• Review and assessment of General Contractor and Contractor Project Executive Plans.
• Maintain relationships with internal partners, designers, consultants, and the General Contractor team.
• Perform regular project walks to review work progress, schedule updates, and quality assurance.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of experience in  data center construction 
• Excellent communication skills
• Complex problem solving skills
• 8-10+ years of project management experience 
• Knowledge of design and construction processes, quality control, and cost management.
• Familiarity with construction delivery methods such as Design-build and CM-at Risk.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred, or similar applicable certifications preferred.
