Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking an Application Security Architect (GCP) to join their team. As an Application Security Architect, you will be part of the security team supporting various engineering and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Application Security Architect (GCP)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Phoenix, AZ; Sunrise, FL; Atlanta, GA; Salt Lake City, UT; Silicon Valley - Palo Alto, CA; NYC)
What's the Job?
- Design and implement application security architecture for GCP-hosted services and applications.
- Ensure secure-by-design initiatives across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including threat modeling and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to align with security best practices.
- Provide application security guidance for integrated security tools tailored for cloud environments.
- Monitor emerging GCP security features and recommend their adoption.

What's Needed?
- 7+ years in application security, software engineering, or security architecture roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP services, including IAM, Cloud Run, and GKE.
- Deep understanding of secure development lifecycle (SSDLC) and cloud-native application patterns.
- Experience implementing security controls in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
- Proven ability to communicate risk to technical and executive stakeholders.
