Why this role is important to us
Experian UK&I operates in a regulated environment, with oversight from the FCA and other important regulators. Maintaining relationships with our supervision teams and ensuring timely, strategic responses to regulatory change is critical to our continued success. You will lead our regulatory affairs function, ensuring we remain compliant, proactive, and influential in shaping the regulatory landscape.
This is hybrid role based in the London or Nottingham office reporting into our Compliance Director.
Work that matters - What you'll do
- Lead all regulatory engagement, including supervisory meetings, s165 requests, thematic reviews, and notifications.
- Manage horizon scanning and regulatory change processes across FCA, PSR, and ICO.
- Coordinate high-quality responses to consultations and calls for input aligned with business strategy.
- Manage regulatory submissions via RegData and other platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Produce governance materials for senior committees and boards.
- Build and coach a high-performing team, promoting collaboration and continuous development.

- Strategic leadership - Build internal and external networks, and lead the regulatory affairs function with confidence and clarity in an autonomous setting.
- Stakeholder engagement - Capability to engage senior partners and regulators, driving collaboration and maintaining positive relationships.
- Regulatory insight - Understanding of the UK regulatory landscape, with the ability to translate complex developments into relevant business insights.
- Communication excellence - Accomplished in presenting complex information in plain English, tailored to diverse audiences across the business and regulatory bodies.
More about you
- Experience in UK financial services regulatory roles, with knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, CONC, and PSRs.
- Experience managing FCA engagements and regulatory change programmes.
- Deep understanding of regulatory reporting and the RegData system.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in plain English.
- Desirable qualifications: ICA Diploma (Compliance/Financial Crime), Prince2/Agile.
