The Director, Data Strategy and Partnerships will drive Experian's financial data strategy in North America and identify, develop, and optimize partnerships that enhance Experian's financial data assets. You will navigate the dynamic financial data ecosystem to understand the key players, their relative strengths and capabilities and assess the right partners for Experian. You will acquire new data sources, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, while working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, data governance, legal, and procurement. You will be reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Data Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential new financial data partnerships to enrich Experian's data offerings.
- Collaborate with strategy and product teams to align data acquisition efforts with our needs and strategic goals.
- Oversee testing, licensing, and integration of new data assets into Experian's systems.
- Build and manage relationships with diverse data providers, including aggregators, Direct to Consumer companies, niche providers, and public data sources.
- Negotiate and complete data licensing agreements and vendor contracts.
- Manage vendor compliance, renewals, and performance reviews.
- Partner with legal and privacy teams to ensure data partnerships comply with relevant regulations and Experian standards.
- Monitor data use to uphold privacy standards and mitigate risks.
- Implement cost management initiatives to optimize ROI on data spend.

Experience and Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in data acquisition, partnerships, or a similar role within the marketing industry and/or financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of consumer and financial data, including data assets and technology providers.
- Proven success in negotiating complex agreements and managing vendor relationships.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
