Description
Reporting to the Controls Testing Manager, you will support the development of the testing methodology for critical key controls across the Experian global business. This role will focus on assurance activities over material and critical controls testing, with the potential to move into other operational risk domains.
You will be responsible for developing and executing controls testing plans, and for communicating, agreeing upon, and monitoring gaps in controls in line with Experian risk management processes. This will be done in collaboration with other assurance functions across the first, second, and third lines of defence (LOD).

You will also support the Controls Testing Manager in the development of testing methodologies, the risk universe, and integrated reporting.
- Support the Controls Testing Manager in the identification and prioritization of testing activities as part of the assurance planning process.
- Plan and executes control tests including coordinating the review process with key stakeholders, managing the activities of control testing senior analysts (local and overseas), reviewing the quality of work performed and ensuring alignment with the assurance testing methodology.
- Prepare draft reports reflecting the results of work performed and advises the business on appropriate solutions and remediation activities engaging other 2LOD and subject matter experts in agreeing actions plans. Presents results to senior management to get buy in and agreement to action.
- Coordinate activities throughout the review lifecycle with senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with Data Analytics team to identify opportunities for converting manual testing into analytics based testing and continuous monitoring activity. To direct the analytics team to adjust and improve models and follow up on results of continuous monitoring and analytics.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in compliance controls assurance, operational risk, financial services assurance, risk office, Big 4 company, and/or internal audit.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and proactively.
- A problem solver who proposes innovative solutions.
- An approach that champions collaboration and consultation.
- Proven ability to identify key risks and influence improvements in the control environment
