What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java (e.g., Spring Boot) with clean code and SOLID principles
  • Build and maintain event‑driven components using Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ
  • Develop, secure, and operate RESTful/HTTP APIs (e.g., via API Gateway) and serverless components (AWS Lambda)
  • Deploy and operate services in Docker and Kubernetes / ECS with attention to scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Model relational data and optimize queries in MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • Implement robust testing strategies (unit/integration/performance) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Instrument services for observability (logging, tracing, metrics) and participate in on‑call/incident reviews as needed
  • Contribute to architectural discussions on scaling (auto‑scaling, load balancing, clustering, disaster recovery)

  • Proven Mid–Senior‑level backend experience in the Java ecosystem
  • Hands‑on with unit, integration, and performance testing
  • Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and schema/query design
  • Experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS)
  • Understanding of observability practices (metrics, tracing, logs)
  • Solid grasp of scalability concepts (auto‑scaling, load balancing, clustering, disaster recovery)
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles: SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, YAGNI

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other clouds (Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Exposure to .NET Core (Web API, Worker Services, AWS Lambda)
  • Knowledge of Python, Kotlin, or Golang
  • Background in financial services (banks, fintechs, cards, other financial institutions)
  • Eagerness to learn and actively contribute to the team’s technical evolution
