The Senior Technical Product Manager defines requirements for launches and measures the impact of new features and software capabilities that empower platform super users to discover and promote learning activities that address challenges faced by their communities and/or workplaces. The Senior Technical Product Manager collaborates with product managers, designers, engineers, and many others to define new features and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end solutions focused on user needs and business goals 
  • Define, test, and maintain intuitive yet powerful capabilities that operate in concert with other applications via a complex, services-oriented architecture
  • Collect data through interviews, surveys, web searches, product usage reports, or other methods.
  • Develop functional specifications and internal documentation for new features and enhancements
  • Support market-facing product managers and designers in order to validate market needs, business requirements, and functional specifications 
  • Identify and escalate dependencies and risks to project goals and milestones
  • Understand success criteria for new features and work with the data platform team to measure and monitor the adoption and impact of key features
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes that reduce cycle time and improve the quality and impact of development efforts
  • Identify requirements that may impact the QA testing timeline or strategy and escalate as appropriate
  • Perform quality audits of existing test cases, tier 3 escalations, and defects found in production to discover and close gaps in test case documentation and test automation.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a technical product manager, or similar relevant experience; 4 years preferred
  • Experience working within agile, iterative development teams 
  • Working knowledge of software requirements definition principles and methods
  • Collaborative, excellent listening and communication skills
